Honda CRF150R is a racing dirtbike that was released in 2006 for the 2007 model year, equipped with a newly developed compact liquid-cooled 4-stroke 150cc engine in an easy-to-handle body for a wide range of users from beginners to advanced motocross riders. Released on October 13 (Friday) 2006, Honda CRF150R and CRF150RII equipped with large-diameter wheels. It competes in the Mini Class against many 85cc Two-Stroke Bikes; however, can not race in the 85cc mod.
The Honda CRF150R and CRF150RII are 4-stroke engines with powerful output characteristics inherited from Honda's motocross racing cars, the "CRF450R" and "CRF250R," which have matured and introduced advanced technology cultivated in numerous races. It is a model equipped with a body of a size that is easy to handle with excellent foot grounding.
The newly developed liquid-cooled, 4-stroke, 150cc engine employs a unicam valve train mechanism that drives all valves with a single camshaft, and is mounted on a specially designed semi-double cradle frame that is easy to handle. . It is a motocross competition-only car with full-fledged equipment such as a lightweight and compact front and rear wheel brake system, an inverted suspension system for the front and a pro-link suspension system for the rear. The styling is an aggressive design that emphasizes speed and strength, with bright extreme red radiator shrouds reminiscent of Honda motocrossers and slim front and rear fenders.
In addition, in consideration of the rider's physique, we have set two types of "CRF150R" with 17-inch front and 14-inch rear wheels, and "CRF150RII" with 19-inch front and 16-inch rear wheels, so that the customer's widening the range of choices.

Characteristics of Honda CRF150R
Engine area
The engine, which has a lightweight and compact structure with a sealed crankcase structure, is a unicam valve train mechanism that drives four intake and exhaust valves with a single camshaft with a built-in decompression system. And, by adopting a 5-speed manual transmission, it has a wide and easy-to-handle power band and powerful output characteristics.
The carburetor uses an FCR carburetor with a main bore diameter of 32mm. The ECU that detects the throttle opening determines the optimum ignition timing, and the throttle position sensor (TPS) that enables stable fuel supply in the entire rotation range achieves a linear response.
The exhaust pipe is tapered with three stages of pipe diameters for excellent exhaust efficiency, adapted to the wide power band unique to 4-strokes. In addition, long-fiber glass wool is used as the sound-absorbing material inside the silencer to achieve optimal output characteristics and noise reduction effect.

A specially designed semi-double cradle frame is used to bring out the performance of the water-cooled, 4-stroke, 150cc engine with powerful output characteristics. By pursuing the optimum balance between the engine's output characteristics and weight, and by giving it reliability and moderate suppleness, high running stability has been achieved.
In addition, two types of Honda CRF150R and CRF150RII with different wheel sizes have low seat heights of 832 mm and 866 mm, respectively, to achieve excellent foot grounding, slim radiator and seat, and special handlebars. By designing, it is possible to quickly shift weight when riding.
Undercarriage
By adopting an inverted suspension in the front and a pro-link suspension in the rear, it is possible to finely adjust the damping force, and it is a suspension inherited from a motocrosser for advanced riders. The pro-link suspension uses the common links of the CRF450R and CRF250R to optimize damping force characteristics. In addition, by adopting a tapered swing arm, it achieves both weight reduction and high rigidity, ensuring road-following performance that efficiently transmits engine power to the road surface.
The brake system has a 
220mm Disc brakes, a compact brake unit that integrates a master cylinder and a reservoir tank at the rear, and 190mm disc brakes are used to achieve a high-precision braking feeling and a lightweight suspension.
In addition, the front and rear wheel hubs are made of newly designed high-strength aluminum die-cast material to reduce weight.
Other Features of Honda CRF150R/CRF150RII
- Equipped with an auto decompression system (automatic decompression mechanism) that promotes smooth engine start. It enables a quick engine start with moderate pedal force.
- By adopting a hot starter system equipped on the clutch lever bracket of the handlebar
- Startability is improved when the engine is hot by enabling gas to be vented from inside the cylinder.
- The fuel tank has a compact design of 4.3L. It has enough capacity for motocross race use.
- Uses a left-right split type radiator that exhibits a stable heat dissipation effect. By distributing the radiator units to the left and right of the frame and arranging them, an optimal weight balance is achieved.
- The vivid extreme red that symbolizes Honda is used for the coloring, imagining the speed and strength of a motocrosser.
