The new light two-wheeled road sports model "CBR250R", which is easy to handle for a wide range of purposes from urban driving to suburban touring, will be released on March 18th (Friday).
The Honda CBR 250R is a sport style motorcycle powered by a 4-stroke, 249.4cc, liquid cooled, DOHC, single-cylinder engine with electric starter. The engine is paired with a 6-Speed manual transmission and total fuel capacity is 3.4 gallons. The CBR 250R comes standard with a two-piece, 2-passenger seat. The CBR 250R rides on aluminum wheels with a 110/70R 17 front tire and a 140/70R 17 rear tire. The front suspension is a telescopic fork while the rear suspension is a twin sided swing arm. Front hydraulic disc brakes and rear hydraulic disc brakes provide stopping power. The Honda CBR 250R was new for 2011 with an MSRP of $3,999.
In order to provide more customers with the joy of owning a sports model and the exhilaration and enjoyment of manipulating it, the manufacturer's suggested retail price is 449,400 yen (standard type), which is an affordable price.

The development guideline is "Sport Quarter for One World, CBR250R", and it is equipped with a newly developed truss structure frame and a lightweight, compact water-cooled, 4-stroke, DOHC, 4-valve, single-cylinder 250cc engine. In addition, based on the latest design theory "mass intensive form" of Honda's full cowl sports model adopted in VFR1200F and CBR1000RR, dynamic and sporty styling is realized, and both the joy of owning and the enjoyment of maneuvering are compatible at a high level.
Honda CBR250R is available in two versions: the CBR250R and the CBR250R ABS with our Anti-lock Brake System - a first for the segment. CBR250R offers the perfect balance of beginner-friendly features like light weight, superb handling, broad powerband and unmatched build quality and attention to detail.
The domestic CBR250R will be produced by Thai Honda Manufacturing Company Limited, which has a proven track record in the production of the global model 125cc scooter PCX.

2011 Honda CBR250R (JBK-MC41) Features
- Dynamic and sporty styling.
The styling is based on Honda's latest design theory "mass intensive form" of full cowl sports model, and realizes a flowing yet dynamic form. The upper cowl has air outlets on the left and right to guide the rider with an appropriate amount of wind and contribute to improving the turning performance of the vehicle body while driving. The middle cowl achieves a beautiful surface design while having a highly efficient air management mechanism that improves the cooling performance of the engine. The under cowl has a stylish design while having a structure that guides the running wind around the lower part of the engine and the catalyst device (catalyzer). - Newly developed 249cc liquid-cooled single cylinder engine that combines powerful and easy-to-use output characteristics with high environmental performance.
The engine is equipped with a newly developed water-cooled, 4-stroke, DOHC, 4-valve, single-cylinder 250cc engine. The world's first roller rocker arm is used for motorcycles equipped with a DOHC engine, and friction is reduced by using an offset cylinder. In addition to the electronically controlled fuel injection device (PGM-FI), high environmental performance is achieved by adopting an O2 sensor and synergistic effect with the catalyst device (catalyzer) installed in the muffler. By adopting these technologies, we have achieved powerful and smooth output characteristics from low to high revs and low fuel consumption of 49.2km/L (60km/h constant-land driving test value). - Newly developed truss structure frame that realizes light handling and steering stability.
The frame adopts a diamond frame with a truss structure that has both suppleness and high rigidity. The newly designed lightweight and compact frame realizes light handling and steering stability as a sports model. - Body color.
Three body colors are available for the standard and ABS types: pearl spencer blue, which is the image of Honda's traditional tricolor, bright candy ruby red, and fearless asteroid black metallic.
