* The order period for Japan domestic market is from February 25, 2022 (Friday) to April 17, 2022 (Sunday). Depending on the order status, acceptance may be suspended or terminated before the end of the order period. In addition, we may have to wait for a long time from ordering to delivery.

The CBR1000RR-R FIREBLADE series is an advanced product that supports sports riding by combining a power unit with powerful output characteristics and a body packaging that pursues maneuverability, based on the development concept of "Total Control for the Track-a machine that demonstrates its true potential on the circuit". The electronic control technology of is adopted. This concept of "Total Control" is also a theme that has been consistently pursued from the first model "CBR900RR" released in Europe in 1992.

Its presence is ready to offer driving sensation like riding a MotoGP motor that can be ridden on public roads.

To commemorate the 30th anniversary of the release of the "CBR900RR", Honda have adopted the tricolor "Pearl Glare White" based on white, which is expressed with the color image of the first model as a motif.

In addition, the 30th anniversary mark is placed on the upper surface of the fuel tank and the screen when the meter is started, and the Akrapovic muffler silencer and Honda SMART Key key body are also decorated with the 30th anniversary characters to create a special feeling.

Honda CBR1000RR-R FIREBLADE SP 30th Anniversary Performance Review

The CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP brings a new level of performance to the most powerful 4-cylinder engine with the same configuration as the Honda RC213V. All the features applied to this model are based on the engine and chassis technology that supports the sensation of driving on the circuit.

The 999.9 cc DOHC 4-cylinder inline engine has experienced many improvements compared to the previous generation. This engine configuration is exactly the same as the RC213V (bore x stroke: 81 mm x 48.5 mm). Maximum power is recorded at 160 kW (215 hp) @ 14,500 rpm, and maximum torque reaches 112 Nm @ 12,500 rpm. Pistons are made of forged aluminum (Forged Aluminum). Each of these components (4 pieces) weighs 5 percent lighter than the previous model, while increasing its strength and durability. Another detail, the camshaft is given a special coating called Diamond Like Carbon (DLC) to reduce friction by 35 percent when compared to the same component without the DLC coating. Connecting rods (konrod) using titanium material, so that this part is reduced in weight by 50 percent.

The leading technology in this superbike is the Built-in Bottom Bypass, a cooling water circulation system that flows directly from the radiator right to the main component "water jacket". Then, there is the New Multi-point Piston Jet, a technology that is able to spray cooling lubricant on the piston from various directions. Its job is to maintain the piston temperature and reduce excess friction.

Advanced Features of CBR1000RR-R FIREBLADE SP 30th Anniversary

The high performance of the kitchen-paced sector is balanced by the presence of a complete package of electronic devices. The CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP is equipped with a gas opening system (throttle) via a precise electrical wire, familiarly called Throttle by Wire. The 6-Axis Inertia Measurment Unit (IMU) advance sensor is capable of measuring the position of a motorcycle in six axes. This device works with the Honda Electronic Steering Damper (HESD) which has three setting modes (hard, medium, soft), useful for increasing driving stability at high speeds and cornering.

The ability of motorbikes is very flexible with Riding Mode which has three modes. Each mode will adjust for the amount of power (1-5), HSTC torque control (1-9), engine brake (1-3), wheelie control (1-3), and suspension (1-3). The package is even more complete with the presence of the Wheelie Control feature which prevents the CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP from being lifted up by the front tire because it accelerates too fast. This is coupled with Rear Lift Control which eliminates the potential for the rear tire to lift due to braking too deeply.

One more thing that makes the CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP in the highest class is the Start Mode feature. This system keeps the engine speed (rpm) constant during starting, allowing the driver to concentrate on clutch operation for optimal starting. This device is able to limit the maximum engine speed as desired (6,000-10,000 rpm).

The Assist & Slipper Clutch feature is standard, to ease the operation of the clutch and eliminate the effect of the tire locking when the engine brake occurs due to gear reduction. This SP type is equipped with a Quick Shifter which makes shifting gears up and down faster and without excessive effort. The front suspension uses the Inverted Telescopic Ohlins Smart-EC type, and the Pro-Link type with Gas Chamber Ohlins Smart-EC at the rear. Both can be adjusted via the driving mode settings.

Meanwhile, on the stop side, the front brakes use a 330mm Brembo Dual Front Disc Brake Radial 4 piston. The rear uses a 220mm 2 piston Brembo brake device. Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS) devices have two modes to choose from. Sport Mode for road use, and Track mode for circuit use which increases braking force. The swing arm is made of aluminum. The dimensions are 30.5 mm longer than the previous generation Fireblade, but the weight is the same. The exhaust uses a collaboration between Honda and Akrapovic made from titanium.
