It is also maintenance-free by adopting a hydraulic valve clearance auto adjuster (valve gap automatic adjustment mechanism) and an automatic adjustment cam chain tensioner.

For the frame and undercarriage, a double cradle frame with round cross-section pipes is used to provide a smooth ride in a wider range of driving conditions. The front suspension adopts his damper structure that exhibits smooth damping force characteristics, and the rear suspension has a reservoir tank with excellent release that exhibits stable damping force characteristics even during hard driving. Equipment. Combined with the long wheelbase (1,495 mm) and the generously thick seat, it achieves both excellent driving performance and a comfortable ride. In addition, a center stand is standard equipment, and consideration is given to usability.

The front brake is a hydraulic double disc with excellent braking feeling, and the rear is equipped with a hydraulic single disc brake, with wide front and rear tubeless radial tires (front ・ 120/70R17 58V, rear 150/70R17 69V) and lightweight 6-spoke aluminum wheels combine to reduce unsprung weight and achieve a light ride.

The design features a powerful, voluminous, large-capacity (20L) fuel tank shape composed of smooth curves and surfaces, as well as a neat and neat design such as independent side covers and a rear cowl with a grab rail. It expresses a sleek appearance, and combined with the long wheelbase body, it has a dignified presence suitable for a large displacement.

CB750 History

Vehicle commentary
*In this section, we will explain based on the 1992 model at the start of production.

In the late 1980s, before the start of production of this model, the naked type Kawasaki Zephyr 750 was popular among road sports models classified as large motorcycles in Japan. On the other hand, since 1984, when the CB750K and CB750F were discontinued, Honda Motor Co., Ltd. mainly used the cowl-equipped model seen in the CBX750/VF750 → VFR750 series, so as a countermeasure, it was based on the CBX750 series. In 1991, the naked type RC39 Nighthawk 750, which was exported to North America, conformed to Japanese domestic safety standards and was released in a limited edition of 750 units. Based on this model, this model was developed as a successor and a return to the CB series.

The RC17E type air-cooled 4-stroke 4-valve DOHC 4-cylinder engine is a carryover from the CBX750 series, which is the base model of the Nighthawk 750. Self-starting. Fuel is supplied by four Keihin VE66 carburetors, and the compression ratio is 9.3, with a maximum output of 75ps/8.500rpm and a maximum torque of 6.5kg-m/7,500rpm. Lubrication is a wet sump combined use of pumping and splashing. The engine oil capacity is 3.8L and an oil cooler is installed, but only the training car specification described later is equipped with an electric fan as standard.

The manual transmission was changed from the 6th speed of the base CBX750F to the 5th speed. In addition, it has a feature such as a loud "Gakon" sound when shifting from neutral to 1st gear.

The frame is a double cradle type made of steel pipes and is heavy, but the rear tire size is narrow at 150/70ZR17.

Candy Revive Red colour was newly adopted for 1995 model CB750, and the HONDA logo was placed on the side of the fuel tank.
