Yamaha TDR80 Specs and Features

The TDR80 / 50, the younger brother of the Yamaha TDR250, appeared in July 1988. The water-cooled 2-cycle single-cylinder engine installed in the company's 50cc sports RZ50 and DT50 is set for medium and low speeds, and is mounted on a large-diameter steel pipe semi-double cradle with a diameter of 25.4mm using a 3-point rigid suspension system. In particular, the suspension of the cylinder head contributes to the improvement of the rigidity of the frame and the reduction of the perceived vibration. The suspension secures wheel travel of up to 140mm at the front and 130mm at the rear, and the rear adopts a monocross suspension. The tires and wheels are lightweight aluminum cast with 3 hollow spokes. Front: 3.50-12-2PR, Rear: 100 / 90-12 48J. The brakes used were 203mm front and rear disc brakes, and the design followed the image of the TDR250. A gasoline tank with a total capacity of 8L was equipped with a body-mounted cowl, and a tachometer was standard equipment. The electrical equipment is 6V. The maximum output was 10ps for the 80cc version and 7.2ps for the 50cc version.

The 1988 model Sophia Yellow Yamaha TDR80 has arrived. Coloring is white and Sophia yellow. Later, Yamaha Black was added to the 80cc version. Rear carriers, underguards, high-grip tires, etc. were set as options. The similar engine is inherited by the TZR50 that appeared in 1990.
